WORKSHOPS CURRENTLY HAPPENING AT BOOK SHOW:

JUST WRITE FOR AN HOUR!

Usually meets weekly, on a day when there are no other events going on. Keep your eye on the calendar, follow Book Show on Facebook/Instagram/Twitter or get on the workshop mailing list to find out when the next one is!

The concept is simple.

Everyone receives a writing prompt. Everyone writes for an hour.

This is a fun way to get yourself out of the house and do some writing amongst a group of fellow scribes.

Book Show will provide water and light snacks. You are welcome to BYOB, if that is your thing.

We ask for a FIVE DOLLAR donation that will go towards snacks and supporting the space.

How the night will look:
8pm – arrive, chat, snack and receive writing prompts (everyone gets their own)
8:15pm – 9:15 – everyone writes amongst themselves.
9:20 – Share what came out of the hour of writing!

ANGRY NASTY WOMEN FEMINIST WRITING GROUP

Meets every second Wednesday at 8pm at Book Show

CURRENTLY ON HIATUS!!!

A monthly writing meet up that gathers the second Wednesday of every month for women and folks who identify as female. It is an informal evening of writing prompts and exercises centered around issues concerning women, and what it is to be a woman.

The objective of the writing group will be to stir up some creative writing energies and generate ideas for women-centered essays, poems or fiction that reveal our own experiences, view-points and manifestos as women seeking change.

Suggested donation of $5
