This 2 hour workshop covers women’s pockets: Why they don’t work and how to put them in and on your stuff.
For the cost of a single alteration, you’ll get a pocket added to a favorite piece and all the information you need to never lack pockets again!!
We’ll start with the short sexist history of men’s and women’s pockets, move on to fast and dirty fixes, and sew some stealth pockets. You don’t need any real sewing experience. Bring a piece of clothing on an accessory that needs a pocket and an open mind!
Instructor A. Laura Brody has 30 + years of experience in custom costumes, crafts, and costume design. She’s added pockets professionally to stunt clothing, enormous squashes, wedding wear, and opera clowns (among other stuff).
